A new edition of the Festival of Classical Music in open air – DescOPERĂ took place in the period 15th- 17thJune, at Butuceni, Orheiul Vechi. At this event, the spectators were able to discover the beauty of classical music in a rural setting, a natural amphitheater that is the Natural Cultural Reservation “Orheiul Vechi” and provided ideal acoustics for a symphonic orchestra and the voices of the opera singers.
The participants at the festival had the opportunity to visit and explore the Natural Cultural Reservation “Orheiul Vechi”. The sites, monastery, Christian cave galleries, the museum and the people’s households that preserve the ambiance of the previous centuries have presented the guests some moments from the social and cultural life of our ancestors.
The festival had three nights of plays, on the music of Carl Orff, Giuseppe Verdi and Johann Strauss. The National Office for Vine and Wine was present at the event, offering the guests the opportunity to savor the quality wines of the inland producers in an unique setting, united under the national brand “Wine of Moldova. A legend alive”.
