Wine of Moldova is becoming more and more popular and is the most representative ambassador of our country abroad. Between 14-16 June, 17 winemakers reunited under the “Wine of Moldova. A legend alive” country brand, participated with the support of the National Office for Vine and Wine, at the second edition of the “Republic of Moldova presents” exhibition, which took place in the Council Square in Braşov City.
Daniela Donţu, Media & Branding Expert, National Office for Vine and Wine: “Besides the fact that Romania is the neighbor of our country, the market across the Prut river is an extremely important one for the Wine of Moldova, placing it at the top of the ranking for the value of exports of quality wine. This shows the growing interest of Romanian consumers for Moldovan Wine – a quality product, appreciated at the most prestigious international competitions. During this year, similar events will be organized in other cities in Romania as well, such as Iasi, Cluj Napoca, Baia Mare and Snagov.”
During 3 days, in the Council Square of Braşov there was the Wine of Moldova POP Up, which hosted masterclasses and presentations of Moldovan wines and wineries dedicated to wine lovers, representatives of HORECA industry, journalists and local authorities. At the same time, the 17 winemakers present had their own dedicated stands, with guided tasting of their products, offering the Romanian consumers the opportunity to discover the wine tourism offer of our country, to delight with the unique taste of the Wine of Moldova, but also to buy the favorite wines at special prices.
Among the wineries present in Braşov there are: “Vin Alliance”, “Bostavan”, “Bardar”, “Cricova”, “Chateau Vartely”, “Doina Vin”, “Fautor”, “Timbrus”, “Mileştii Mici”, “Purcari”, “Tomai-Vinex”, “Hincesti Winery”, “Vinaria din Vale” and the small producers of wines: “Nicolae Tronciu”, “Tudor Agachi” and “Novak winery”.
The “Republic of Moldova Presents” event hosted an exhibition for sale of Moldovan products, a bilateral forum meant for business and investment people, wine tasting and an artistic program with the participation of “Alex Calancea Band and Wolves” Moldovan artists. Along with Wine of Moldova, producers of food, fashion and other industries were present at the exhibition as well.
