Asconi Winery

Asconi is a family winery which was founded in 1994 and remains a family-owned business.

Our goal is to make a good wine using all available modern technologies maintaining traditions of previous generations. It is also our wish to share our achievements with local and foreign visitors of our company.

“All winemaking starts with grapes and an authentic winery should have its own vineyards. This is why we planted over 500 hectares of vines and that took us over 10 years. Our vineyards are located near Geamana village, in the Anenii Noi district, 10 kilometres from the winery. We produce a wide range of white, red, and dry rose wines, dessert wines and fortified wines. Most red wines are aged in 225 litre oak barrels. Primarily, we use only American or Hungarian oak and less - French oak. Most white wines fall into the fresh style category, except for Chardonnay and Riesling, which are fermented or matured in oak.”
