Castel Mimi Winery
Castel Mimi is a winery with a secular history. It was founded in 1893 by Constantin Mimi - one of the most prolific winemakers of the twentieth century.
Today, similar to old times, this winery that is located in Bulboaca village is considered one of the most modern wineries of the Republic of Moldova, given its state-of-the-art equipment used for grape processing, must fermentation, wine storage and bottling, able to highlight the specific character of the Codru wine area.
The winery has the largest number of barrels in the Republic of Moldova, over 1000 barrels, mostly, French oak used in the maturation process. The quality of wines is frequently appreciated at the most important international competitions, such as Mundus Vini, Mondial du Bruxelles, Berliner, Asia & Portugal Wine Trophies, etc. In 2017, the Caber-net Sauvignon Reserve 2012, “Castel Mimi” brand, was appreciated by Raidmonds Tom-sons – Europe’s best sommelier, as the most admirable wine in the Republic of Moldova.
Castel Mimi is one of the most visited tourism sites of the Republic of Moldova. Daily, hundreds of guests are visiting to discover the history of our winery, to get acquainted with Moldovan wines and local fine dining restaurant, to relax, enjoy the terraces and swimming pool.

Maturation: 36 months in French oak barrels.
Roșu de Bulboaca
Maturation: 12 months in French oak barrels. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec.
