Javgur Winery

Built in 1957 in the village of Javgur of the Cimișlia district, Javgur Winery is part of a natural amphitheatre of rare beauty, located on the ancient “Valul lui Traian de Sus”, stretching from the Prut to the Dniester River.

Here, a real poetry is born from the manually harvested grapes, cared with love, on an area of 87 ha of vineyards, and subsequently bottled under their names of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet etc. Javgur Winery belongs to the zone with PGI “Ştefan Vodă”. The goal of the winery is to make special, high-quality wines that reflect the terroir and people’s connection with nature, by using modern technologies and also by respecting the traditions of previous generations. Here, winemaking means work, art, skill, lifestyle, and traditions transmitted from generation to generation. Scutaru family’s passion for winemaking passes its philosophy into each glass of wine. Javgur Winery produces wines that preserve family values.
