A lot of good people gathered the “DeVin & DeGust” festival on the “Eugen Doga” Pedestrian Street in Chisinau on the 3rd and 4th of June.

We are grateful to all the guests of the festival for the beautiful atmosphere and a fitting celebration of our national treasure, the wines of Moldova from the three regions with Protected Geographical Indication – Codru, Ștefan Vodă and Valul lui Traian.

Visitors had masterclasses and tastings guided by wine specialists in the “Wine School”, listened to stories with winemakers and learned their stories, enjoyed gastronomic delicacies and enjoyed music hello and soul talks.

We look forward to seeing you next year!

The National Vine and Wine Office and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ireland will host an event to promote Moldovan wines in Dublin

The National Vine and Wine Office and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ireland will host an exceptional event promoting Moldovan wines in Dublin. This initiative is a first in Ireland and highlights the firm commitment of the Republic of Moldova to expand its presence on the international wine market.

The event will take place on May 24. An impressive selection of 21 companies from the wine industry of the Republic of Moldova will be present to offer importers, distributors and HORECA industry representatives the opportunity to discover and enjoy the diversity and quality of Moldovan wines.

The event will be structured in two parts. In the first part, the participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with the representatives of the Moldovan wine companies and to discover the novelties and characteristics of each presented product. A presentation and a master-class will be organized to highlight the specificity and quality of Moldovan wines.

The second part of the event will be marked by a reception, which will be attended by Irish officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Dublin and members of the Moldovan community in Ireland.

Moldovan wines were present at the event to promote wines from the portfolio of one of the largest importers in Poland, the TIM company

We are happy to share the news that Moldovan wines were present at the wine promotion event from the portfolio of one of the largest importers in Poland, the TIM company, which took place on May 18 at the Convention Centre, Airport Okecie hotel.

Supported by ONVV, three wine companies from Moldova also participated in the event – Radacini, Dk-Intertrade and Bostavan, where they had the opportunity to present their range of products and offer the wines for tasting to the Polish public, more precisely to over 1000 guests present, eager to meet them.

During the event, a masterclass dedicated to Moldovan wines was organized, during which their tasting took place, the description of the specifics and aspects of their terroir, as well as the peculiarities of the protected geographical indications. It is always a joy to have the opportunity to carry forward, in the world, the story of Moldovan wine.

Afterwards, ONVV representatives discussed with the importer about possible collaborations and the possibility of organizing other activities in the future to familiarize Polish consumers with high-quality dry wines produced in the Republic of Moldova.

Poland is an important strategic market for the Republic of Moldova, ranking in the top five importing countries of Moldovan wines.

On the program: Wine School, outstanding wines from 25 wineries, traditional dishes and histories of the country’s winemakers.

The event will take place on the “Eugen Doga” pedestrian street in Chisinau.

It was an honor for us to be part of the “Evening dedicated to the Republic of Moldova” event

It was an honor for us to be part of the “Evening dedicated to the Republic of Moldova” event, which took place on May 18, hosted at the Queen Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest, by the Royal Family of Romania.

We happily represented the craft of winemaking in the Republic of Moldova as ambassadors of this rich tradition, with an excellent selection of wines produced in the most prestigious cellars and wineries in Moldova.

More than 100 varieties of wine from 21 producers were presented to the honored guests on the occasion of the event.

The event was organized by the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV) and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Romania, with the financial support of USAID Moldova.

We are deeply grateful to the Royal House for their support and warm welcome.

Moldavian wine was proudly presented, this year, by a record number of 40 wineries, including 15 small producers, at RO Wine – International Wine Festival of Romania

Moldavian wine was proudly presented this year by a record number of 40 wineries, including 15 small producers, at RO Wine – International Wine Festival of Romania, which took place between May 12-14 in Bucharest.

The winemakers brought to the festival wines with stories, created in the spirit of dedication to quality and the tradition of making Bacchus liqueur in each bottle speak for itself and tell its history.

Visitors could discover the distinct signature of each winery and taste more than 200 varieties of wine produced in the Republic of Moldova: dry wines, young wines from the 2022 harvest, sparkling wines, wines with PGI and wines obtained from organically grown grapes. Thus, the guests were able to get to know the country wine brand “Vinul Moldovai. A living legend”, but also the talented people behind it.

Participation in the event was possible thanks to the financial support of ONVV and the USAID Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project in Moldova.

The start of the International Wine Fair Prague 2023

Yesterday, May 16, was the opening day of the International Wine Fair Prague 2023 for wine professionals. During this event, the wine producers were visited at the joint stand of the Wine of Moldova country wine brand by H.E. Mr. Alexandru Codreanu,

More than 180 companies from several countries are present at the fair, including France, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and others.

Among the participants and visitors of the event are wine producers, as well as importers, distributors and representatives of the retail and HoReCa sectors.

Also, during the festival, a masterclass dedicated to potential winegrowers was held and moderated by Elizaveta Breahna, Acting Director of the National Vine and Wine Office, renowned oenologist, European sommelier and authorized wine taster.

The masterclass was attended by importers, distributors and HoReCa representatives, who had the opportunity to discover five wines from Purcari, “CRICOVA” Wine Combine, TM Kazayak, Chateau Vartely and Radacini.

The National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) supports the participation of 12 companies from the Republic of Moldova in the international fair: Doina Vin, Vinaria din Vale, Vinaria Purcari, Imperial Vin Group SRL, Crama Chateau Vartely, Tomai Vinex, Castel Mimi, Radacini, Cricova, TM Kazayak, Mileștii Mici and Crama Fautor.

Wine of Moldova present with a record number of wineries at the RO-Wine Festival

We are extremely happy to be at RO-Wine – The International Wine Festival of Romania. This year, a record number of 40 producers from Moldova are present at RO-Wine, including 15 small producers.
The most anticipated wine festival in Romania started yesterday, May 12, in Bucharest in Fratelli Studio.

During the festival, there was a masterclass dedicated to the viticultural potential, supported by Elizaveta Breahna, interim director of the National Vine and Wine Office, renowned oenologist, European sommelier and authorized wine taster, and Cătălin Păduraru, taster, wine critic and president of the Vinarium competition.

Dozens of importers, distributors and HoReCa representatives were present at the masterclass, who had the opportunity to discover 6 wines from: Fautor Winery, Domeniile Davidescu, Gitana Winery 1953, Crama Mircești, Casa Vinicola Luca and TE WA Wines.

We warmly welcome visitors today to meet our winemakers and discover the fantastic variety of Moldovan wines.
The participation in the event of winemakers, members of the Association of Small Wine Producers of Moldova, is possible thanks to the financial support of ONVV (National Vine and Wine Office) and the USAID Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project in Moldova.

In the “Challenge International du Vin”, Moldovan wines won 55 medals

A new victory for Moldovan wines!

We are happy to announce a new success for our wines. Within the “Challenge International du Vin”, Moldovan wines won exactly 55 medals, of which 8 gold and 47 silver.

The participation of our winemakers in the competition was possible thanks to ONVV, which supported 37 companies with 72 samples present in the competition.

The “Challenge International du Vin” is a prestigious competition in France, organized in the form of a blind tasting, and is open to all wines and alcoholic beverages made from grapes from around the world (in bulk or bottles), regardless of the year of harvest.

The contest is a true pioneer of international competitions in France, being one of the most famous competitions worldwide.

The manner in which the tastings take place is unique to international competitions, with each tasting panel being composed of 4 members: a technician, a producer, a distributor and an informed consumer. The winning wines thus reflect consumer tastes
