Branesti Wine Cellars

Branești Wine Cellars

The Brănești Winery is located inside an old limestone mine with galleries extending over a distance of 75 km and occupying an area of 75 ha.

The entire architecture is constructed at a 60 meters depth, which makes it possible to maintain a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees and 90-92% humidity all year round. Next to the natural conditions comes the skilfulness of people which transform the grapes into a Bahic beverage. The winery possesses about 800 ha of vineyards located in a beautiful forest area, on the coast of Orheiul Vechi village, but also in the Romanești and Tudora villages.

Most wine production is exported to China, USA, Poland, Germany, Romania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Baltic States, etc.

The winery is pioneering the first underground hotel in Moldova and is developing a unique “Stone Age” tourist complex. This will offer visitors an opportunity to experience life in a cave, as it would have been in the Stone Age, with small touches of the modern epoch. Here you can enjoy cave life away from the noise of modern civilization and eve-ryday worries.

Tourists will have the opportunity to discover the underground galleries, to taste wine in the rooms specially arranged for tastings, to rent places for wine storage, and to participate in cultural events, organised in the performance hall. Soon, the hotel rooms, the SPA area and Stone Age restaurant will also be ready, where no access to internet and telecommunications will exist, so that tourists can fully enjoy life in the cave (mobile con-nection will be available at the entrance to this complex).

Branesti Winery is easy to find because Brănești village is located near Orheiul Vechi (5 km away), 20 km away from Orhei town and 50 km away from Chisinau.

Poiana

Poiana Winery

For hundreds of years, the inhabitants of our lands have been taming vines, this being a symbol of continuity and eternity. While our wines have become a bearer of the country’s fame all over the world, this fame, to some extent, has its origin in the Ulmu commune.

The Poiana Winery is located near the Ulmu village, in the middle of a wonderful mead-ow. The wine is produced from grapes originating from our own vineyard, cared for with great passion by our workers. The secret of a wine lies in the grapes. The grapes are manually harvested in mid-autumn from fruiting vineyards, ripe in the sun. This explains the noble taste of the wine.

The Poiana winery is surrounded by the most beautiful secular forests – Codru.

Crama Tudor

Crama Tudor

Crama Tudor of the winemaker Tudor Aghenie is located in the centre of the country, in the Sadova village, Călăraşi district.

Tudor Aghenie is a 6th generation of winemaker with a passion for wine production inher-ited from his ancestors – wealthy landlords, who used to own extensive estates in this re-gion. Even in those times, wines from Sadova used to be delivered in Europe.

In recent years, Tudor Aghenie managed to combine his passion as a skilled producer with the promotion of rural tourism. Situated in a picturesque natural setting, Crama Tu-dor is located at the edge of a forest, in close vicinity to the vineyards, making a perfect refuge for the guests. One can find several wooden houses, furnished in a traditional style, an oven where are cooked delicious stuffed vine leaves and pies, and a cellar with wines produced by the winemaker.

Originally, the place was intended for the vineyard workers to relax. Now, however, it has been turned into an important attraction for tourists eager to discover quality wines and traditional food prepared with love by Tudor Aghenie’s family.

Crama Mircesti

Crama Mircești

This is a winery one can rarely find in the Republic of Moldova. It is distinguished by a picturesque view called “Little Tuscany of Moldova”.

The vineyards here stretch on the Măgurii hills, within a unique region, suitable for the production of exceptional wines. Crama Mircești includes a white mansion, which once belonged to a landlord and which in 2011 was restored and brought back to life. It was at that same time when the first vine cuttings were planted.

At present, the vineyard covers an area of 15 hectares and as of 2020 the winery opened the doors of its own guesthouse with traditional cuisine. Crama Mircești is locat-ed 25 kilometres away from the city of Ungheni and 80 kilometres away from Chișinău, in the village with the same name – Mircești, one may say in the heart of the Republic of Moldova.

The climatic conditions here are comparable to the wine regions of southern Germany (Rhine Valley) and with those in northern Italy. Each variety is separately planted on the right slope exactly in the way it is done in the mentioned regions. In addition to Pinot Noir, Saperavi, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling, we grow traditional local va-rieties with love and respect, such as Feteasca Neagră, Rara Neagră, Feteasca Regală and Feteasca Albă. Given the diverse assortment of varieties, we produce wide range of wines and also blends under the Crama Mircești and Bardul din Mircești brands.

We look forward to seeing you!
