Timbrus Purcari Estate

Timbrus is an international project designed for the creation of premium Moldovan wines. The name comes from the Romanian word “timbru” (stamp), either fiscal or postal, which is a symbol of the letter personally handed to the recipient.

Timbrus is a personal message of the winemaker, addressed to all those who know how to genuinely appreciate wines.

The history of this project started with the purchase of agricultural land in the Purcari area, the most famous wine region in the Republic of Moldova, where international wines have been produced since the 19th century. The European oenologist Manuel Ortiz participates in the creation of wines from the stage of vine plantation to the production and bottling of wines. Thus, Timbrus succeeded in obtaining refined, elegant wines which are distinguished among other wines produced in the region and stand out with a truly European, noble style.

Being the result of a unique combination of the Purcari region’s nature with the traditions of Moldovan winemaking and the skilfulness of European specialists, Timbrus wines embody an author’s vision of the future of Moldovan winemaking. Timbrus is a message containing the secret of a unique wine, a secret that can neither be read nor seen, but only felt and understood by tasting this wine. Timbrus is a brand of revelation, a brand of surprise. It is a proof of the fact that refined, world-class wines can be created in the Re-public of Moldova.

Wine “Manuel Ortiz”

This is a unique creation of the oenologist Manuel Ortiz, produced in a limited edition. It is the winemaker’s personal message addressed to true lovers of premium wines.

Wine “Barrel Fermented Chardonnay”

The Barrel Fermented Chardonnay seduces with its freshness and delicacy and with nuances of coffee and vanilla, combined with citrus, green apple, peanuts, and almond nuances.

Wine “Viorica”

Viorica is produced from a local Moldovan grape variety, with basil aroma and a unique taste. This wine reflects the originality and uniqueness of our local winemaking.

Suvorov Vin

Suvorov-Vin holding company started its activity in 1998 as a producer of high-quality wines.

Aiming to constantly monitor the quality of the products, in the middle of 2003 the company built a complete cycle factory, located in Căuşeni town, in the Purcari area of the Republic of Moldova. The factory is considered one of the most advanced in the Re-public of Moldova and in the CIS countries, and its equipment meets European standards.

Wine “Viorica”

The wine has a fine aroma that opens with primary floral aromas and evolves into a remarkable Muscat aroma. It has a rich, full-bodied taste and an elegant aftertaste.

Wine “Merlot”

Ștefan Vodă PGI is a dry Merlot red wine with a ruby red colour. It is distinguished by the pleasant and complex aromas of sour cherries and Moroccan nuances.

Wine “Feteasca Regala”

This is a dry white wine with an elegant, floral, balanced aroma with a pleasant, well-defined taste, full of finesse and significant freshness

Salcuta Winery

“Sălcuța” is a family winemaking business founded in 1995. It is located in the picturesque Sălcuța village, in Căușeni district, at the South-Eastern part of the Republic of Moldova, also called “the heart of Moldovan wines”.

The winery has an extensive portfolio of products, including individual variety wines, wines with Protected Geographical Indication, matured wines, and unique blends of wine from varieties selected by the winery’s winemakers. The local and international varieties, planted on an area of over 400 hectares of vineyards, start their way to the winery where the talent of winemakers and the use of innovative equipment perfectly correlate, to create special and unique wines. Sălcuța Winery is the place where, in addition to effort, attention and devotion, people follow a continuous path to perfection, learning either a unique formula of a blend or creating other unique wines for wine lovers everywhere.

Products

Wine “Tămâioasa de Sălcuța”

This is a transparent rose wine, which exhibits aromas of rose petals and white cherries. They complement the taste with barberries nuances leading to an attractive freshness.

Wine “Pinot Noir 2017”

This is a wine with a bright red-ruby colour, revealing a multitude of aromatic reminiscences of red fruits, followed by vanilla and spices. It has an elegant and sophisticated finish.

Wine “Pinot Gris”

This is a representative product of the winery with a translucent straw-yellow colour. It has aromatic nuances of pear and lemon. The taste is balanced and round which is, reflected in a harmonious aftertaste.
