Castel Mimi Winery

Castel Mimi is a winery with a secular history. It was founded in 1893 by Constantin Mimi – one of the most prolific winemakers of the twentieth century.

Today, similar to old times, this winery that is located in Bulboaca village is considered one of the most modern wineries of the Republic of Moldova, given its state-of-the-art equipment used for grape processing, must fermentation, wine storage and bottling, able to highlight the specific character of the Codru wine area.

The winery has the largest number of barrels in the Republic of Moldova, over 1000 barrels, mostly, French oak used in the maturation process. The quality of wines is frequently appreciated at the most important international competitions, such as Mundus Vini, Mondial du Bruxelles, Berliner, Asia & Portugal Wine Trophies, etc. In 2017, the Caber-net Sauvignon Reserve 2012, “Castel Mimi” brand, was appreciated by Raidmonds Tom-sons – Europe’s best sommelier, as the most admirable wine in the Republic of Moldova.

Castel Mimi is one of the most visited tourism sites of the Republic of Moldova. Daily, hundreds of guests are visiting to discover the history of our winery, to get acquainted with Moldovan wines and local fine dining restaurant, to relax, enjoy the terraces and swimming pool.

Leuntea-Vin Cellars

Leuntea-Vin, located in Leuntea village, is a family winery of historical importance for the south-eastern part of Moldova.

Its history on the Bessarabia territory goes back to 1817. In those times the winery became the centre of the wine industry’s development in the region, thus, bringing the know-how and technology of European winemaking.

The wine is produced by Mr. Dmitri Cissa – the owner of the winery, a representative of the fourth generation of winemakers, a passionate of winemaking, with over 45 years of experience in oenology. Mr. Dmitri Cissa supervises and ensures the compliance with winemaking requirements in both technological and product quality. The grapes are grown in private vineyards, located near the Dniester River, in the Purcari area. The latter is renowned for its fertile soil, rich in microelements, which creates optimal conditions for the production of exceptional wines.

Pursuing the goal to share its legacy with the next generation Leuntea-Vin, apart from maintaining the traditions of wine production and quality assurance, also maintains the spirit of the past and the atmosphere and history of the place.

Barza Alba Distillery

The history of Barza Albă company in the Bălți municipality started in 1944.

At the beginning, the company carried out its activity as a small grape processing unit, located on the outskirts of the Bălți city. Over 75 years of operation Barza Albă (White Stork) JSC has become the embodiment of the rich winemaking traditions of the Republic of Moldova. The company has a high production potential and a representative portfolio of Divins aged from 3 to 50 years. The high quality of Barza Albă Divins was ensured by generations of specialists dedicated to the art and traditions of Divin production who carried out ennobling of the wine distillates via aging in barrels. The company participated in numerous international exhibitions and tasting competitions and our products were awarded over 150 medals, out of which 80 are gold, 10 are “Grand Prix” and, finally, Star AWARD was obtained for outstanding quality indicators.

50 years “Prezident” Divin

This is a Divin with a unique composition is created from 50 years old aged wine distillate. Prezident Divin is considered a king with a 50 stars crown.

“Codru” Divin

This Divin is distinguished by a dark amber colour, a complex bouquet of resins and amber nuances, an extractive taste with a special imprint, thus, creating the harmony of Codru Divin.

“Speranța” Divin

This Divin possesses a rich, well-formed bouquet, with light nuances of flowers and hues of dry fruits and is perfectly in harmony with an extractive and complete taste.

ATU Winery

The first urban winery in the country, ATU was created in 2016. The winery is located in the capital city of the Republic of Moldova.

The concept of the winery is to offer “something more than wine and more than passion”. In its continuous creative ascent, ATU dedicates its activities to those who want to enjoy wine in a special way. ATU wines are manually produced from the beginning of the harvest to the labelling of the limited-edition bottles, which allows for the treatment of every drop of wine with great care and attention.

ATU Winery is open for visits and events all year around. Both the winemaker and the founders Victor and Vlada Vutcărău are happy to welcome wine lovers and share with them information about the history of the winery and the region, to answer all questions with a glass of unique, urban, special wine.

“Calibru” wine

It took 12 months and 21 days storage in oak to create this blend off three varieties: Fetească Neagră, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

“Saperavi Codrinschii” wine

Codrinschi represents a blend of Rară Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon. The ATU Winery is the first and only one to produce wine from the Moldovan variety of Codrinschi.

“Viorica” wine

The Viorica variety has been cultivated in the Republic of Moldova since 1969 and is considered the standard of local white wines. It is characterised by floral and citrus fruit aromas.

Asconi Winery

Asconi is a family winery which was founded in 1994 and remains a family-owned business.

Our goal is to make a good wine using all available modern technologies maintaining traditions of previous generations. It is also our wish to share our achievements with local and foreign visitors of our company.

“All winemaking starts with grapes and an authentic winery should have its own vineyards. This is why we planted over 500 hectares of vines and that took us over 10 years. Our vineyards are located near Geamana village, in the Anenii Noi district, 10 kilometres from the winery. We produce a wide range of white, red, and dry rose wines, dessert wines and fortified wines. Most red wines are aged in 225 litre oak barrels. Primarily, we use only American or Hungarian oak and less – French oak. Most white wines fall into the fresh style category, except for Chardonnay and Riesling, which are fermented or matured in oak.”

Sol Negru – Feteasca Neagră

This wine has a velvety and fine aroma, with dried fruit nuances. Its aroma and taste complement each other in a perfect way, offering a creamy and fruity aftertaste.

Sol Negru – Cabernet Sauvignon

A vanilla, strawberry, white acacia blossoms bouquet and a delicate aroma of white peaches. It is an aromatic, harmonious and refreshing wine.

Icewine – Cabernet Sauvignon

It is characterised by a delicate pink colour and a well-pronounced aroma of exotic fruits, followed by a forest berry aroma. It has a lively, fresh, and slightly highlighted taste of berries.

Aroma Distillery

“Aroma” joint-stock company is specialised in the production, bottling and marketing of alcoholic beverages, mainly Divin, and has got over 120 years of experience in the field of winemaking.

The range of products of AROMA includes over 30 brand names, including well-known brands such as: Belîi Aist, Barza Neagră, Moldova, Chişinău – that apart from having become the emblem of the company are also perceived as an emblem of the Republic Moldova. Aroma joint-stock company produces Divins aged from 3 to 60 years, as well as other beverages such as: balsams, cider brandy, apple brandy, whiskey, and liqueur.

Aroma products have been awarded numerous distinctions over the years, among them 10 Grand Prix and over 35 gold and silver medals, obtained at the most prestigious international competitions, a fact which confirms the high quality. Beverages produced ac-cording to classical technologies combine modern achievements with winemaking traditions and can be ranked alongside the most famous drinks in the world.

Divin “Moldova”

This is considered a veteran of the divin brands, its production dates back to 1957. Divin “Moldova” is produced from distillates for Divins, aged 7 years. It is distinguished for its soft taste and its floral aroma, a bouquet composed of aging nuances. In 1967, at the international competition in Montreal (Canada), “Moldova” Divin was qualified (within its category) as being the most successful aged oak wine distillate in the world and was awarded the GRAND gold medal.

Divin “Chişinău”

The production of the divin Chişinău dates back to 1960. This is a noble divin, of an extraordinary quality, produced from distillates for divins, aged 10 years. It has got a harmonious taste and a complex bouquet with resin and enanthic nuances.

Divin of a premium limited collection. It is considered a noble drink, with an impressive colour and bouquet with intense nuances of aging and an inviting aroma. Its special taste with a unique flavour, gives this divin an outstanding originality.

Alianta Vin Winery

Alianţa-Vin” is a limited liability joint venture founded in 1994 as a grape processing, wine production and bottling company.

The constant high quality of our production is guaranteed by the use of elite grape varieties and by the processing performed by modern equipment supplied by the main European producers. The fermentation, treatment and subsequent storage of wine are carried out in line with the most advanced methods and, at the same time, with respect to ancestral traditions. Additionally, pursuing the aim to comply with international quality standards, “Alianţa-Vin” limited liability joint venture holds the international certificate of food safety management system, ISO 22000: 2005. Our company has created a unique collection of high-quality wines, dry and semi-dry, semi-sweet and sweet, liqueur wines and sparkling wines, especially for those with fine taste in wines and that follow the trends. The wines of Alianţa-Vin” limited liability joint venture is exported to more than 17 countries around the world and have achieved worldwide recognition.

Merlot Cabernet – Sauvignon Muscat de Hamburg”

This is an unusual blend, considered a challenge of enjoying the traditional fruit aroma of Merlot and of Cabernet-Sauvignon varieties along with the freshness of fine Muscat. It is characterised by a ruby-red colour, a sweet fruit aroma with fine Muscat hues and ele-gant, fruity taste.

Fetească Albă – Muscat

This is an elegant, refreshing blend. The unusual palette of flavour is obtained from the combination of two different grape varieties – Fetească Albă and Muscat. Its delightful flavour captures the warmth of the sun, the richness of the vineyards and the kindness of people. It has got a light straw colour with shades of green, a wildflower aroma with fine nuances of Muscat and a pleasant flavour with light Muscat nuances.

Chardonnay – Riesling

This blend represents a perfect combination of aromas and an expressive balanced taste, in which the fullness of tropical fruits and the freshness of wildflowers prevail. Its natural aroma and the harmony of taste will impress you.. It has got a light straw colour with shades of green, an aroma of fruits and wildflowers, a harmonious taste, slightly spicy and persistent.

Agrici Winery

The winery was founded in 1958. For over 60 years it has been producing wines from hand-harvested grapes grown in vineyards located in the “Milestii Mici” village.

“Our crafted wines are the outcome of the teamwork of two generations of winemakers from Agrici family. Our commitment is to grow high quality grapes and run the winery in a sustainable way, by combining innovation with a creative spirit and century traditions. Aiming at ensuring a high quality of raw material, as of 2004 we have planted 80 ha of vines of both European and local varieties. It is our belief that extraordinary wines can only be obtained exclusively from high quality grapes. The grape varieties in our vine-yards include Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească Neagră, Merlot, Rară Neagră, Saperavi, Chardonnay, Aligoté, Muscat and Rkatsiteli”.

At present, the winery is a dynamic facility operating in line with the latest winemaking techniques. Giving priority to quality is a principle applied by the Agrici family in the management of its entire production process, from the cultivation of grapes up to marketing to the final consumer, the wines with Codru Protected Geographical Indication, both on the domestic and international market”.

Cabernet Sauvignon – Fetească Neagră

This is a rosé from Cabernet Sauvignon and the local Feteasca Neagră variety with red currant and raspberry aromas and a well-balanced and fresh after taste.

Merlot – Fetească Neagră

An elegant wine blend of Merlot and Fetească Neagră with intense aromas of berries, black currant, red cherries, and notes of ripe plums.

Fetească Neagră – Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot

This is a full-bodied red blend of Feteasca Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, characterised by black currant and red cherry aromas, with hints of sweet pepper and hues of ripe plums.
