Domeniile Pripa
Domeniile Pripa comprises 17.5 ha of hills with the south-western exposure of Dniester River’s slope, part of the Hamza Valley, PGI Ștefan Vodă.
The slope hosts the Rară Neagra and Fetească Neagra vine cuttings that used to grow on these lands as early as the 19th century, also, Merlot, Saperavi, Feteasca Regala and Fetească Alba.
Only grapes grown on the Domeniile Pripa vineyards are used for wine production. The wines are aged exclusively in Moldovan oak barrels, manufactured by three brothers originating from the Ulmu village, craftsmen in this area for at least three generations. The first experimental wine was produced in 2016 and was bottled in a limited number of bottles, namely: Saperavi – 84 bottles, Fetească Neagră – 480 bottles, Rară Neagră – 270 bottles.
