Fautor Winery

The Fautor Winery is a family business that creates wines that inspire and evoke joy. The winery encourages a beautiful lifestyle and the approach of looking at wine through the prism of art.

The name Fautor comes from Latin and symbolizes “creator” given that the work in vine-yards and in wineries is a permanent process of creation. Double “F” framed in a shield on the wine emblem represents the Fautor family and suggests the idea of safety and the consumer’s confidence in the quality of the final product.

The winery’s vineyards cover an area of 350 ha which is located in the South of the Re-public of Moldova, within the Valul lui Traian winegrowing region. The vineyards include both international and local varieties (Feteasca Regală, Feteasca Neagră, Rara Neagră) and two unique varieties (Albariño and Tempranillo), which are unique to this area. The factors allowing Fautor Winery to create unique wines in the world are the terroir, the indigenous varieties, and the innovative approach. The special terroir of the Fautor vineyards is created by the Codrii Tigheci forest reservation and the terraces of Prut River, which also delimits the border between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The winery focuses on the production of premium quality wines, which yearly obtain international distinctions and enjoy the appreciation of consumers from various countries. Three years in a row, 2017 through 2019, the Fautor Winery has qualified as “the most awarded wine company of the republic of Moldova” due to obtaining the highest haul of medals at international competitions. The high scores obtained from Robert Parker Wine Advocate for a number of wines from the winery’s portfolio have opened a new page in the history of wines from the Republic of Moldova.

Products

Wine “NEGRE”

It is produced from Feteasca Neagră and Rara Neagră. It is characterised by a palette of bitter cherries, sour cherries, blackberries, and blueberries. The wine is matured for 12 months in new French oak barrels.

Wine “AURORE”

This wine is produced from Rara Neagră. It is characterised by a fine aroma of cloves, cherry kernels, pomegranates, and plums. Its taste is reminiscent of ripe cherries amplified by slightly spicy nuances.

Wine “*310 ALTITUDINE”

This wine is produced from Merlot and Rara Neagră. It is characterised by aromas of well-ripened cherries, black forest berries, blackberries, and rustic nuances. It has got a soft, velvety, full-bodied taste.

Domeniile Davidescu Winery

The members of the Davidescu family have dedicated themselves for generations to their passion of winemaking like the roots of an oak tree with dozens of branches which are firmly attached to the soil.

The love for wine and land began with Ilie Davidescu, whom his descendants’ worship and call “grandfather Ilie”. He was a perfect artisan winemaker and beekeeper. His skilfulness was taken over by his son Vladimir Davidescu and grandchildren Andrian and Elena who continue their grandfather’s occupation with self-sacrifice and perseverance. They have succeeded in creating impeccable wines, purely Romanian wines, which in each drop evoke all “doina” songs, “hora” dances, and the sweetness of honeycombs of wine.

Rara Neagră & Saperavi is a wine with an aroma of dried prunes, black cherries, cinna-mon and with nuances of liquorice and bread crust which offer a harmonious aftertaste.

Wine “Aligote & Muscat Ottonel”

Aligote & Muscat Ottonel is a wine with an aroma of orange flower, tangerine, honey-suckle, ripe yellow melon, and lychee. Its taste is fresh, floral, slightly citric, and mineral.

Wine”Rosé Demisec”

Rosé Demisec has an aroma of raspberries, strawberries and fine floral and grapefruit nuances which gives a fresh, floral, and slightly mineral taste.

Doina Vin Winery

The Doina Vin is a Moldovan brand produced with passion and care by Borş family.

The winery is located 30 km away from the capital city and has remained true to wine-making traditions for about 150 years. Aimed at guaranteeing the highest quality of wine production and storage, the winery’s equipment and technology was recently modernised. Doina Vin owns 200 ha of vineyards, located in the Codru region, on the same parallel with the South of France and North of Italy. The Codru Forest contains oak and linden trees, with no heavy industry nearby. This is why it is considered one of the most ecological regions of the Republic of Moldova, proud to have been awarded the qualification “The best winery of the Codru region”.

DK Intertrade Winery

The company ICS “DK – Intertrade” LLC, part of the Dionis Group holding company, was founded in 1998, as a producer of still wines, Divins and creamy liqueurs.

Aurvin winery is located within the Valul lui Traian wine-growing area in the South of the Republic of Moldova, in the Vulcanesti micro-zone. The winery has a modern facility with a complete production cycle and owns vineyards of European varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, etc. The mineral composition of the soil along with the favourable climate and the proximity to the Black Sea contribute to a perfect balance between the sugar content and the acidity of the grapes. The company’s production is exported to over 20 countries around the world.

Bardar Distillery

The famous Moldovan distillery, Bardar, celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2019.

Bardar is a symbol of the tradition that began in 1929, when a German entrepreneur named Muller laid the foundations of a small distillery which is today the Bardar Distillery. This small distillery with big potential gave birth to an enterprise which benefitted from the heat of the sun, the rich and well-kept vineyards, the secular oak wood and al-so the skilfulness of the employees and created an absolute harmony for the production of the quality Divins.

At present, the Bardar Distillery is among the TOP 3 Divin producers of the Republic of Moldova. The ingredients of the Divin have not changed since its creation. The bouquet comes from grapes, offered by nature, harvested, and selected with dedication. The essence comes from the oak, which grows in the secular forests of the Republic of Moldova. Complexity comes from patience, which is a human virtue and requires time and dedication. “Solely grapes, oak and patience” are the necessary ingredients for the pro-duction of Bardar Divin, thus, making it an exclusive and authentic wine distillate.

Divin Bardar (7 years)

It is produced out of distillates for the Divin aged for 7 years, during which time an amber colour and a special aroma with chocolate nuances are obtained.

Divin Bardar (12 years)

This is an old Divin, produced out of distillates that are at least 12 years old. The Divin Bardar reveals a rich bouquet of sunflower and chocolate cake.

Divin Bardar (20 years)

This is a very old Divin, aged in oak barrels for at least 20 years. It has a bouquet with nuances of coffee and resin. It is distinguished by a velvety taste, with soft chocolate nuances

Corten Vin Winery

The company “Corten-Vin Companie” LLC is located in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova, the most favourable zone for the production of quality grapes and quality wine materials.

The company has set its main objective to produce quality wine material based on white and red varieties, intended for the production of dry and sparkling wine and also for the export of the produced wine material. The annual volume of the wine material production and sales makes at least $1 million.

There are 700 ha of privately-owned young vineyards near factory. These vineyards were planted in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. The wines from “Corten-Vin” JSC are known in Moldova and abroad as having a bright taste and rich aromas, offered by the grapes ripened by the Budgeac steppe sun. In the company the secular traditions of the region are being integrated with the latest European technologies. “Corten-Vin Companie” LLC is proudly offering wines that are worthy of finding a special place on your table and in your hearts.

Wine “Pinot Noir 2016 Naughty Boys”

The Pinot Noir 2016 Naughty Boys is made from manually harvested selected grapes. Its attractive bouquet has got nuances of ripe sour cherry, blackcurrant, and hues of oak.

Wine “Corten Brut d’Oro”

The Corten Brut d’Oro is a 100% product out of Glera grapes. Characteristic of this wine is a very delicate foam. It possesses slightly distinguished aromas of yellow apples, pears, apricots, and bananas.

Wine “Corten Brut Rose”

Corten Brut Rose is made 100% from Cabernet Sauvignon, with slightly fresh aromas of red berries. It is a fine and intelligent French-style wine.

Basavin Winery

Founded in 1913, the Basavin Winery produces wines of a highest quality, based on the rich terroir, characteristic for the southern region of the country.

The wines have been appreciated at different wine competitions where they obtained numerous national and international medals. The Via Veliu vineyard is the basic source of the grapes. It is located in the Ștefan Vodă area, which is a protected geographical indication region, famous for the production of the most popular wines such as Rara Neagră, Fetească Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc and Rosés.

The company owns about 200 hectares of vineyards where quality control is carried out throughout the production cycle. Mr. Valeriu Dragnev took over the leadership of the Basavin Winery in 1996 and brought with him the vision of creating a product able to align with top international wines. Basavin Winery has a firm conviction that wines should represent their local origin, be a product of the soil and the climate, and most importantly, of a cultivation with care. The winery’s motto is “ensure the balance of new technologies with the winemaking traditions”.

The Basavin Winery offers a beautiful wine tasting experience which takes place in a warm atmosphere in the company of food offered by local wine growers and farmers. Here, one also has the unique opportunity to taste wines outdoors, enjoying the special view of the vineyards that stretch up to the horizon line. The special wines, in combination with the hospitality and the qualitative level of organisation of the events, have suceeded in transforming certain visitors into loyal guests of the Basavin Winery.

Wine “Trei Fete”

This is a blended wine from Feteasca Albă, Feteasca Regală and Feteasca Neagră grapes. It has a noble and fresh taste with a fragrance of the flowering vine scent.

Wine “Optimist”

This is a special blended wine from Feteasca Neagră, Rară Neagră and Shiraz varieties. It is a wine with ruby nuances, a velvety texture and is characterised by currant and blackberry sensations.

Wine “Marsala”

This is a high quality, fortified white wine, aged in oak barrels. It has resin and rum aromas. The taste is reminiscent of honey, roasted walnuts, and rye breadcrumbs.

Vinuri de Comrat Winery

Vinuri de Comrat is located in the south of the Republic of Moldova, in the Comrat city. Vinuri de Comrat is a modern wine production company, which annually processes 5-6 thousand tons of grapes and carries out bottling for about 3 million bottles of wine.

The company owns over 300 hectares of vines, along with 5 farms located in “Valul lui Traian” region. It exports its products to over 20 countries around the world. Here, more than 50 types of wines are produced from distinct varieties and blends, which perfectly combine European grape varieties with local ones. The company also has its own net-work of stores. The wines and the winery’s tourism facility are the pride of the company. This is a place where visitors enjoy the genuine pleasure of hospitality. When the latter is accompanied by wine and food produced in this place, on this land, by the local hands, a memorable symphony of taste, emotions and memories plays.

Wine “Plai Moldova”

This is a dry red wine of the 2015 vintage. It is obtained from the selected grapes of the Merlot and Shiraz varieties, harvested in the Valul lui Traian wine region, located in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova. Maturation of wine is done in French oak bar-rels for 12 months. Its alcohol content makes 13% per volume.

Wine “98 Hectares”

This is a dry red wine of the 2017 vintage. It is produced from the Merlot grape variety, harvested in the Valul lui Traian wine region, located in the southern part of the Repub-lic of Moldova. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for no less than 6 months. Its al-cohol content makes 13% per volume.

Wine “Bessarabian Province”

This is a dry red wine of the 2017 vintage. It is obtained from the selected Saperavi grapes, harvested in the Valul lui Traian wine region, located in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova. Maturation of wine is done in French oak barrels for 12 months. Its alcohol content makes 13% per volume.

Vinia Traian Winery

Vinia Traian was founded in 1975 and is one of the biggest enterprises in the Republic of Moldova engaged in wine production.

The company is located in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova, at the intersection of the borders between the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania. This wine-growing area is exceptional, being located on the southern slopes of the Bugeac Steppe, in the area with protected geographical indication Valul lui Traian, at max 7 km distance away from the factory. The vineyards are placed at the same latitude as many other famous wine areas in Europe, which is why the Vinia Traian can boast of a special wine terroir for grape cultivation, suited for the production of selected wines, recognised with the most prestigious awards. The winemaking process is complied with ISO 22000: 2005 Certificate, implemented 12 years ago.

Wine “DeLaVal Inspiration 2017”

The DeLaVal Inspiration 2017 is a red, dry wine with a 13.5% of alcohol. This wine has a complex structure, a delicate bouquet and a delicious aroma of dried fruits and ripe sour cherries.

Wine “Chardonnay 2017”

The Chardonnay 2017 is a white, dry wine with a 12.0% level of alcohol. Its colour is straw-yellow, and its aromas are of white fruits. It has an ample and harmonious taste.

Wine “Merlot 2017”

Merlot 2017 is a rose, dry wine with a 13.5% of alcohol. It has a delicate pink colour, a soft, harmonious taste with nuances of forest berries and an expressive aroma characteristic of this variety.
